Why We Don’t Change Bad Habits

Sounds crazy doesn’t it? Even when we know we have a habit that is detrimental to our well-being and fulfillment-either physically or psychologically, we still don’t put the effort into changing it. We might think about all the ways we act, think or speak that are destructive or less than constructive. We might complain to our friends about how we should change, but we never take the consistent action required.

How To Know What Is Important

What are your core values? Have you taken the time to write them down? Do you even know what they are? Core values are what directs us in life. They can be different for everybody. Many of us have some idea of what they are or what we think they “should be”, but many have never actually taken time to investigate what they truly are.

Respect is admiration or reverence for someone or something. I noticed some time ago that out of efficiency, I was semi-consciously breezing through tasks, conversations and decisions in order to “get to the good stuff” or what I assumed was of a higher priority.
