Welcome to the new year and a re-brand of my blog/newsletter. Awaken Your Potential will focus on transforming challenges into pathways for more authentic success, health and happiness.

More Meaning, Adaptability, Impact.

You have the potential to live a unique life that no one else can do quite like you. You might already feel this somewhere deep down in your bones. My goal each week is to prompt you into action that will get you one step closer to what’s authentically possible for you.

As you work toward awakening your potential, your actions have more meaning than ever. The more willing you are to hone your skills and be open to growth and opportunity, the more adaptable you are to the changes and disruptions of daily life. As you focus more on your inherent abilities and talents than what you lack, you have a higher chance of significantly impacting your work, family, and community.

Take The Empowering Journey.

You can create positive change and transformative growth for yourself and those you influence. The more you believe and act on this, the more you will trust your resilience, apply lessons learned and live a fulfilled and purposeful life, the hallmarks of authentic success.

Action → Alignment Check.

The first step to awakening your potential is intentionally reflecting on your actions and decisions. Set aside time to assess how your choices align with your long-term goals and values.

If you discover areas lacking alignment, be glad for the awareness and take it easy on yourself. Use the opportunity to consider how to adjust your choices to reflect better what truly matters to you.

Here’s how it could look in practice:

On your commute home, you dedicate some quiet time to reflect on the day. You turn off any music, podcasts or distractions you typically use to pass the time. If you work remotely, imagine transitioning from work to home life with a brief walk or other calming, solitary activity.

Reflecting on the day’s actions and decisions, you notice that your choice to work late to help your boss with a last-minute request doesn’t align with your long-term goal and value of work/life balance and personal well-being.

You realize this is more than a one-time incident but an ongoing pattern on which you must set boundaries. You brainstorm ways to appropriately implement those boundaries, prioritize tasks and delegate more effectively. You commit to speaking with people you trust to help strategize your approach and hold you accountable for following through.

Commit To More Alignment.

The quickest way to unleash more of your potential is to live each day in alignment with what’s important to you. Too often, we limit our potential because we desire to be recognized, liked or validated.

Practice a daily alignment check to notice and avoid this trap. Then, watch your potential start to blossom as it never has before.

Until next week, take care!
